An introduction to the basic concepts of biology, chemistry and physics, which stresses practical applications. Topics include survey of the fundamental concepts of atoms and molecules as the basic building blocks of matter, an overview of the life sciences with an emphasis on human biology and a discussion of the principles underlying common physical phenomena.
