This is an Early Acceptance Program (EAP) and is provisional. Phase I consists of pursuing any LRU major, and along with the required pre-requisite courses.
For consideration for admission into the Messiah University MSAT program, a La Roche University student must successfully meet all of the admissions requirements and successfully complete an admissions interview with the Messiah University MSAT Program Director and/or MSAT faculty member.
To successfully enter Phase II, the following (in conjunction with the requirements of another LRU major) is required:
- 32 credits of required prerequisite courses
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale upon graduation
- Minimum Pre-requisite GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale upon graduation
- Transfer and Advanced Placement credits that are accepted towards a La Roche bachelor degree may be used to fulfill prerequisite requirements.
- Meet with La Roche program coordinator for program pre-screening in spring of junior year or fall of senior year
- Completion of the ATCAS Application (Athletic Training Centralized Application System)
- Completion of CPR – Professional Rescuer certification prior to matriculation
- Two letters of recommendation (at least one of the two must be from a faculty member)
- Submitted personal statement outlining awareness of the AT profession, personal and professional goals, and familiarity with MSAT at Messiah University.
