The focus of this course is on pathophysiological alterations. Emphasis is placed on abnormal changes that occur in body systems and the development of disease. Consideration of the relationship between genetics, epigenetics, the environment, and pathology are explored.  NURN5009, Comprehensive Pathophysiology, has been institutionally approved as equivalent to this course and accepted in fulfillment of the APRN core requirement.  Students should not receive credit for both NURN5009 and FNPC6000, as they are equivalent.
